To extend its business in East Africa, De Heus will start local production of animal feed in Uganda and Kenya. The construction of a new tilapia fish feed plant in Uganda will boost aquaculture, create jobs, improve food security, and shift from import to export.

What is your role?
Duties and Responsibilities
• Implement plans, programs, preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance activities on the boilers in the factory in accordance with approved procedures and instructions issued by maintenance manager.
• Monitor the efficiency of boilers during work.
• Repair all mechanical faults that occur on the boilers in the production department in coordination with the operator and record the repairs made to the daily maintenance report.
• Analysing the water inside the boiler periodically throughout the day.
• Implementation of the required modifications on boilers after study and approval by maintenance manager.
What do we ask of you?
1. Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or any other related field.
2. 3 – 5 Years in a Boiler operator role in a manufacturing environment.
3. Must take ownership of tasks and have a high sense of urgency.
4. Ability to show initiative and to act thereon with no and/or minimal supervision.
5. Good interpersonal skills.
6. Patient, methodical and trustworthy.
7. Presentable and articulate with the ability to get along with all levels.
8. Discretion, professionalism, confidentiality and an ability to make sound judgements.
9. Ability to work under pressure.
